holiday.

HELLO!
i'm back from my awesome holiday.
my tour group was FANTASTIC!
made new friends like yati,amira,affiqah and raihana.
FIRST DAY:
my family reached
budget terminal-enjoy the difference at around 6.
the tour group leader arrived and we checked in our bags.
my family got assigned to bus 3 when we reached padang.
so,we had to wait for quite a long time
before our passports were checked.
our flight got delayed by 15 minutes.
and so,we went up the stairs to our aeroplane.
WOW!
difference difference.
the plane took off soon after.
we reached bandara international airport,padang at 10.00.(singapore time)
and had our dinner.
everyone was tired and stuff.
checked in into our hotel.
ROCKY PLAZA HOTEL!
extremely nice.
changed into sleeping clothes
and went to sleep.
SECOND DAY:
woke up early in the morning.
had breakfast at 8.00(singapore time)
at the hotel restaurant.
the food was kinda nice
except that people can smoke freely even at hotels
or restaurants.
:(
we started off the day by going to some weaving shops.
bought some hand-weaved clothes.
then,off to Lembah Anai Waterfall.
otw,we can see a lot of wet rice plantation fields.
(see,i still learn geog although i'm on holiday.heheks.)
and we are constantly travelling between two mountains
which are MOUNT MERAPI AND MOUNT SIGALLANG.

we took pictures and washed our face with the water.
the water's very cold.
had lunch at a local restaurant.
and we checked in to our hotel.
the hotel was well-furnished.
its 1100 metres above sea level.
and near mountains and this beautiful
lake,LAKE MANINJAU.
so,very cold again.
we ate our dinner at the hotel restaurant
and went to look at some shops.
bought souvenirs for cousins and aunties.
slept soon after.
THIRD DAY:
we went to Koto Gadang to
look at people who made silver jewellery.
and went to Pandai Sikek to look at people weaving clothes
and people carving wood furniture.
it takes 6 hours in one day just to complete
5 cm of hand-weaved clothes.
no wonder,its always expensive.
went to some hand-weaving shops again.
they sell different patterns of clothes.
ate at a local restaurant for lunch.
we had a lot of free time after checking in to our
not quite satisfying hotel.
so,my family went around to this shopping mall
and looked at some stuff.
then,went back to our hotel before heading to our
bus to have dinner at a restaurant.
after dinner,
everyone in bus 3 wanted to change to another hotel
because our hotel was dark and dirty.
a lot of mosquitoes too.
so,we told our tour guide.
and he was extremely nice.
he said he'll try his best to help us change to another
hotel tomorrow.
so,everyone went to sleep.
FOURTH DAY
we had breakfast at the quite unsatisfying hotel.
and we finally could change to another hotel.
we went to see our new hotel
and everyone was extremely satisfied.
we made our way to buy peanuts,
coffee and all those chips.
we went to some other hand-weaving shops again.
we went to eat at flora hut restaurant
which was in the middle of wet rice plantation fields.
awesomely beautiful.

then,we went to Sianok Canyon
where we admired the scenery of the big canyon and
me and my family went inside the Japanese Tunnel
to climb 133 steps up and 133 steps down.
its the original japanese tunnel built in the japanese era
and there were all the rooms and stuff.
the local tour guide helped us a lot by explaining all the stuff to us.
then,we went back to our new hotel.
and me,my mum and another aunty from my group
went for spa.
my first time going for spa.
it was great and cheap too.
i cut my hair there too.
the hair stylists were all nice.
went back to our hotel just in time to have our dinner.
after dinner,
we could choose if we wanted to go back to our hotel
or watch traditional dances of the minangkabau.
so,my family decided to watch the dances.
well,since we were already there.
why miss the chance.
so,we went.
and it was great.
scary too.
they were like jumping on glass plates and breaking them.
then,went back to our hotel around midnight.
and went straight to sleep.
FIFTH DAY:
its time to say goodbye to all the wet rice plantation
fields and travelling between mountaneous regions.
we had breakfast at the hotel
and we were given time to pack our bags.
then,we were given 3 hours to shop at the local shopping centres.
bought more souvenirs.
then,we went for lunch.
after lunch,headed to the minangkabau village.
where we learnt more about the minangkabau society.
very meaningful indeed.
then,headed off for dinner.
and went straight to the airport.
said goodbye to our tour guides.
and went to the departure hall
where we had to wait quite a long time before
our passports were checked.
and our flight departed at 9.50.
i slept all the way in the flight.
reached home at 12.00.
it was a great holiday indeed.
i sure enjoyed it lots.
